As a new month begins its countdown, I wonder what it has in store for us. I personally, as an adenomyosis warrior, is staying safe, holding on to my faith and keeping my body as healthy as possible.
We began the year with so many dreams and aspirations only for a virus to bring the entire world to its knees. What has become a pandemic was first heard of by the World Health Organisation (WHO) on the 31st of December, 2019. It was at that time an unknown virus which started in Wuhan, Eastern China. Today, we know it as the Corona Virus (Covid19).
As the world searches for a cure, and everyone is on lockdown( I am certain someone somewhere is writing a best selling movie out of this already- sigh!) We cannot forget those who before this pandemic also suffer from a disease which still has no cure and also not well known- Adenomyosis.

Adenomyosis is a condition in which the inner lining of the uterus breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus. This causes severe menstrual pain, cramps lower abdominal pressure, bloating among other discomforts which usually results in heavy periods.
In this month of April, we will be celebrating those women who have had to live through this pain and kept their Sparkle glowing-the #adenomyosiswarriors and #adenomyosisfighters. Do not give up. Keep pushing, keep surviving and keep yourselves safe in this pandemic season.

Stay safe, stay home if you do not work in the frontline, and lastly, do not forget to keep washing those hands and sanitise when needed.
