We all go through normal day to day pressures and know what that feels like, but when we get or become submerged in our activities and get stressed, this can make problems already existing worse or even become a mental health problem.

The Oxford dictionary defines stress as A state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances.

What causes stress varies from one person to the next. It could come about due to work overload, health, finances, economy or environmental factors, experiencing something you have little or no control over. When anything triggers off stress in our body, our body tries to fight back and activates our immune system. This usually would help calm the body and hormones. There are times when the stress becomes too great and rather than help the person push through, the pressure instead makes the person feel unable to cope with the situation.
The struggle in life is real. Striving to earn a good living in order to have a happy home, provide for the family. Make our bosses happy and if we work for ourselves, work even harder to make sure we succeed.
Losing a child or loved one is not easy either. Losing your job, losing your mortgage, break-up in a relationship, lack of funds, the list is endless. All of these things make a person stressed.
As I said earlier, we all go through some form of daily stress that we can handle, but when you notice that you are beginning to get irritated or offended easily, feelings of frustration, anger, headaches, palpitations, then you know you are really stressed.
  • Firstly, find out what exactly is causing the stress. Once it’s known, next step is to work on methods of resolving it. If you don’t see changes, please see a doctor.
  • Make sure there is self-love, don’t hate or despise yourself but love yourself.
  • Do all that’s possible to have the right support system around you.
  • Eat well, eat healthily and don’t forget to exercise.

So, when next someone feeling low or out of sorts crosses our path, let’s be nice and friendly. Show care and love. Like I always say, a smile goes a long way. Let’s be kind to people anywhere we find ourselves. We can never tell what they are going through at that moment. Stress is real. Mental Health is real
We will be having a guest share more with us tomorrow.
Till then, stay Sparkling ✨, stay calm, relaxed and have fun in everything you do.
